Poker has become world famous as of late, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game shows. The games popularity, though, stretches back in fact a bit further than its television scores. Over the years numerous types on the first poker game have been created, including a handful of games that are not in reality poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely related to blackjack than traditional poker, in that the players bet against the dealer rather than each other. The succeeding hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is little bluffing or other kinds of concealment. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up just before the croupier declares "No further wagers." At that moment, both you and the dealer and of course all of the different players attain 5 cards each. After you have looked at your hand and the dealer’s 1st card, you need to either make a call wager or surrender. The call bet’s amount is akin to your original ante, which means that the risks will have increased two fold. Bowing out means that your wager goes immediately to the casino. After the bet comes the face off. If the house does not have ace/king or better, your bet is given back, including an amount equal to the ante. If the dealer has a hand with ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand defeats the dealer’s hand. The dealer pony’s up money even with your ante and controlled odds on your call bet.
