Newcomer Schemes for Double-Hand Poker
March 13th, 2018 by Mason

Pai Gow Poker is a modern game with old ancestry. Founded on the old Chinese domino game and the current American version of poker, Pai Gow poker combines the east with the western in a great game for beginner level players.

Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the gambler vs. the casino, unlike almost all other poker games that players compete with other players. By gambling against the dealer, new players do not have to worry about other, more knowledgeable people winning their moolla.

One more Pai Gow edge is the fairly leisurely game pace, beginners can take their time and plan while not needing to make hasty selections.

It’s also easier to bet on for a long time with basically a little bit of cash after all, to lose, both of your hands must be lower than each of the houses hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the familiar 52-card basic deck and a single joker. The player is assigned 7 cards face up and the dealer gets seven cards face down.

One five card hand and one 2 card hand must be made from the seven cards, the five card hand must be stronger than the two card hand. To succeed, a player is required to have both of his hand totals to be higher than the houses.
