Howard Lederer grew up in a family of five where he liked gambling on numerous card games when he was young. Howard also helped his sister Annie Duke learn the game of poker. Annie was a great student of the game as she constantly asked questions about how to make the correct choice. Howard told Annie to head out to Vegas and compete in the World Series of Poker competition. Annie Duke is one of the strongest women players the poker world has ever seen. He relocated to Sin City in Nineteen Ninety Three and competed in cash games for the subsequent decade. When the World Poker Tournament gained popularity, Howard made the decision to compete in more tournaments.
